I received the following letter this week. It’s a cool update on “A Cold Wind and The Jacket”. Thanks to all who prayed both here and in Russia, both who know and who haven’t a clue who these people are.

And a thanks to God who answered the prayers according to how we wanted Him to answer them.

Dear Friends and Family,

I know that many of you are wondering what is happening… Today was my final appointment and I have good news to report. All the DCIS cancer was removed. (As far as cancers go, this is the best kind to have.) All the margins were clear. The sentinel nodes were clear. I am healing well. Best of all, no chemo, radiation or hormone therapy will be required. Though I will be under a watchful medical eye for future cancers, I am done with all that needs to be done to treat the cancer that was found.

As a family, we are doing well. Steve, my amazing husband, transitioned back to work this week. My mom has been here from Chicago to help. She has kept our house running and allowed me to rest a lot. I am still on the mend, but seem to have a little more energy as each day passes.

Thanks to each of you for your concern, your prayers and your support. You have been the hands and feet of Christ in our lives. We have been encouraged in our faith through your care. Thank you for standing with us on this unexpected leg of our journey.

love,
Linda
